We've seen two museums for the day and are exhausted. We get on the VERY full underground train to head back to our hotel and start talking about our plans for tomorrow. As we start going over all the places we have left to see, we realize that we're not going to make them all. So we start discussion what of each that Lisa wants to see and find out that she'd be happy with just seeing the London Eye, the Parliment Building and Westminster Abbey. Well, that we can fix after closing hours, after all it's only 6 pm and there is still day light to enjoy . . but not from this train!
So we get off at the next stop and get on the train going the opposite direction headed for those sites. We exit the underground station and are amazed that there are not a press of people for the first time today. Ha . . we're here after hours so everyone is headed home while we take our requisite pictures of . ..
The London Eye
Big Ben & The Parliment Building
Westminster Abbey
And how often do you find statues to American Presidents in another country .. so we had to photograph Abe Lincoln
Satisfied that we've made the most of our day and seen everything that we could possibly see, we opted to get back on the Underground and head back to the hotel for that rest and relaxation we had been talking about earlier.
Below is a slideshow of all the "sites of London" that we took at this particular stop
